Sash Windows

The sliding sash window is a design classic.

During the mid 1600s, availability of glass and changing architecture, gave way to a new form of window called the vertical slider or sash window. The sash window became popular and fashionable typically used in buildings by well known architects of the time and Royalty.

Thanks to continued research and development within the window industry we at Sian Property Improvement can now offer modern or traditionally designed vertical sliding windows to any property in Hampshire, Surrey or Sussex in the following materials.

Timber

Our made to measure hardwood or softwood timber vertical sliding windows are treated and fully factory finished using high tech microporous paints, this allows the window to breath and moisture to escape even after installation. The finish can be specified to any RAL single or dual colour giving you complete flexibility to match your property and its interiors.

Our timber vertical sliding windows can be operated using either traditional weights and cords or  modern spiral balance mechanisms allowing tilt-in facility for ease of cleaning. As with all our range high specification security and glazing is installed as standard.

uPVC

uPVC sliding sash windows are designed to offer many of the traditional aesthetics attributed to timber vertical sliding windows within a low maintenance package. Recent consumer demand has incentivised the industry to offer the flexibility of realistic wood effect finishes, RAL colours and varying styles.

Our uPVC sliding sash windows are operated via spiral balance mechanisms for convenient tilt-in cleaning facility, including the latest specification A energy rated glazing and multipoint locking systems.

Regardless of timber or uPVC the quality of installation is as important as the product itself. At Sian where required internal liners and architraves will be replaced using sympathetic materials to ensure the best finish.
